Inline Hot-Air Convection Reflow Soldering Machine

The TRA RX-435 is an inline hot-air convection reflow oven for soldering surface-mount components onto printed circuit boards. It receives populated PCBs from the placement stage and carries them through heating and cooling before downstream handling or inspection.

Four upper and four lower heating zones deliver hot air along a 1,400 mm heated tunnel. Closed-loop PID control regulates temperature, and the operator can adjust conveyor speed to suit the target soldering profile. Three ventilation cooling zones follow the heated section.

The integrated mesh belt and chain rail conveyor give operators two ways to support boards through the tunnel. The chain rails also provide a transfer path for integration with upstream and downstream board handling equipment.

Frequency-controlled airflow and finned heating tubes distribute heat through the tunnel. The stainless steel chamber uses multilayer insulation to limit heat loss through the enclosure.

The 450 mm mesh belt supports assemblies from underneath, while the chain rails carry boards by their edges. Operators adjust the rail width with a handwheel and set conveyor speed digitally. For rail transport, the catalog specifies 25 mm of clearance above and 25 mm below the PCB.

The color touchscreen displays zone temperatures and operating settings. Operators can use the temperature-curve tools to review thermal behavior and save up to 20 recipes for repeat jobs. The controller also provides a delayed shutdown setting, and a warning light provides a visible machine status indication.

Each rail has an oil cup, and the controller lets operators schedule automatic oil dripping. The split exhaust design provides access for cleaning.
